Friday April 20, 2018, is the 19th anniversary of Columbine, and  the day of the National School Walkout. On that day and the weekend that follows, more than 40 theaters nationwide will present readings of Natural Shocks by Lauren Gunderson, one of the most-produced playwrights on the American stage.

Tennessee Women's Theater Project is proud to participate, with a reading performed by Brittany Childers Nelson at noon on April 20, hosted by the Office of Health Sciences Education of Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
Based on Hamlet's "To be or not to be," Natural Shocks is a new 65-minute, one-woman play that bursts to life when we meet a woman waiting out an approaching tornado in her basement. She overflows with quirks, stories, and a final secret that puts the reality of guns in America in your very lap.
