Production History

Almost, Maine

February 1 - 16, 2008

The New York Post called it “love in the time of frostbite.” We called it our midwinter night’s dream. Blowing into the Z. Alexander Looby Theatre just in time for Valentine’s Day, 2008 John Cariani’s Almost, Maine is a romantic comedy set in the imaginary, unincorporated northern Maine hamlet of Almost.

The play is a series of connected vignettes set on a moonless, midwinter Friday night. Four actors play nineteen different characters who encounter love, falling in – and out – in hilarious ways, beneath the magic of the dancing Northern Lights.

The production included a scene written especially for Tennessee Women’s Theater Project by John Cariani. Almost, Maine featured Shane Bridges, Nettie Kraft, Patrick Kramer and Keri Pisapia.
