A Single Woman

Our Stage Debut: June 30 - July 3 2005

Written by Jeanmarie Simpson of the Nevada Shakespeare Company, "A Single Woman" tells the story of Jeannette Rankin – the first woman elected to the House of Representatives (in 1916, before the Susan B. Anthony Amendment affirmed women's right to vote).  The production was presented at Vanderbilt Sarratt Student Center, in partnership with Vanderbilt University’s Margaret Cuninggim Women’s Center. Starring Laura Skaug as Jeannette Rankin, and Patrick Waller as Everyman, "A Single Woman" played just four performances, June 30 - July 3, 2005.
