Call For Submissions - Women's Work 2010
Our 4th Annual Showcase & Celebration
Since 2007, Tennessee Women’s Theater Project has held an annual festival and celebration of works created by women: Women’s Work. Each year, we feature the work of women playwrights, poets, musicians, essayists, painters, filmmakers, dancers and photographers from across Tennessee and across the country. It's time to prepare for Women’s Work 2010.
This is our call for submissions.
Once again, for three weekends in May (May 7 through May 23), Women’s Work will showcase the talents of creative women, at Nashville’s Z. Alexander Looby Theater. We will consider a wide variety of works: staged readings, reader’s theater presentations; performance pieces by women; films and documentaries by women; poetry readings; singer/songwriters, choreography/dance; stand-up comics; visual art – you name it, we’ll consider it. TWTP will provide the stage; the woman artist will provide the work. (Please note, if a presenter requires actors, musicians, dancers, etc., TWTP will suggest local talent, but it will be up to the presenter to contact those people and arrange for their participation.)
Email Maryanna at twtp.org, or call 615-681-7220 for more information, or if you have any questions. We urge you to pass this opportunity on to any woman artist you think might be interested. Use the Share This button to help spread the word.
The deadline for submissions is April 5, 2010. There’s a small submission fee of $20, to help offset our costs.
