Auditions
for two different productions, August 19 and 20, 2010:
1) We are casting for our October production, the U.S professional premiere of Unravelling the Ribbon, by Mary Kelly & Maureen White.
Roles available:
Rose, a mother of two, age 34
Lyndsey, Rose's daughter, age 11 (actor need not be 11, but will play 11)
Lola, 50, an artist
The age of the characters is specified in the script.
Note: Although the play is set in Ireland, and we will listen to your dialect, we have flexibilty in casting and the play's location will be determined after auditions. All ethnicities welcome.
Bring: head shot and resume. The audition will consist of cold readings from the script - no need to prepare a monologue. Please bring your datebook - it's vital that we know your conflicts with potential rehearsal times!
Audition dates: August 19 & 20 (callbacks, if needed, August 21)

Production dates: Opens Friday, October 1 and runs Thursday through Sunday, October 17, with two Sunday and two weekday matinees. We perform at the Z. Alexander Looby Theater, 2301 Rosa L Parks Blvd., Nashville.
Rehearsals will begin approximately August 30. The rehearsal schedule will be locked once the production is cast.
Pay rate: $15/hour for rehearsal; $450/week during production.
2) We are casting for a touring production of Warriors Don’t Cry. In a new undertaking, we will be presenting our acclaimed one-woman show in dozens of performances in Nashville area schools and orther organizations.
Role available for: 1 African American woman who will portray a myriad of characters. Please familiarize yourself with the story by reading the memoir Warriors Don't Cry, by Melba Pattillo Beals. Come prepared to read from the script - no monologue needed.
Audition dates: August 19 & 20 (callbacks, if needed, August 21)

Production dates: The show will be performed in Metro Public schools and other venues, beginning midway through the 2010-11 school year. Most performances will be during school hours.
